It is the best choice for a salt water boat trailer for any bolt that does not require a special strength rating.
Stainless Steel Ubolts have a higher strength rating than standard hot dip galvanized bolts, but are not as strong as a Grade 5 bolt or a Grade 8 bolts. Therefore any bolt application that requires these specially tempered bolts should not be substituted for a more corrosion resistant stainless steel ubolt.
