1/2 X 2 1/16 X 5 5/16 " Square stainless steel u-bolt axle tie plate kit.
This stainless steel u-bolt kit will attach the axle and leaf springs together in a standard leaf spring trailer suspension system. When attaching an axle and springs, the stainless u-bolts go around the axle on either side of the leaf spring and the tie plate goes around the spring to hold it securely to the axle.
One stainless steel u-bolt tie plate kit will do one complete axle with two leaf springs.
***BEST CORROSION RESISTANCE*** Stainless Steel u-bolts offer the best in corrosion resistance. 304 Stainless steel is a steel alloy made with Chromium and Nickel. It is the best choice for a salt water boat trailer for any bolt that does not require a special strength rating.
Stainless Steel u-bolts have a higher strength rating than standard hot dip galvanized u-bolts, but are not as strong as a Grade 5 bolt or a Grade 8 bolts. Therefore any u-bolt application that requires these specially tempered bolts should not be substituted for a more corrosion resistant stainless steel u-bolt.
